I’ve been a counselor for nearly 20 years. The breadth and depth of my experience allows me to work with almost anyone to improve their quality of life. Children, adolescents, adults, elderly – all are welcome.
I have experience with most any presenting issue; the most common for which people seek counseling include: anxiety, depression, grief/loss, chronic illness/pain Issues, mood regulation, parenting, relationships, divorce, PTSD, trauma, issues from childhood.
I offer individual counseling and coaching. I am currently closed to couples/marriage/family/group work, as well as to diagnosed personality and psychotic disorders as those both benefit from more frequent sessions than I am presently able to offer. Sign up for a session with me here.
Insurance
I am either currently or soon-to-be paneled with most major insurance companies. These include BCBS, FirstChoice, Claims Central, Beacon Health, Moda/ODS, UBH/Optum, Providence, MHN, Healthnet, Aetna, Cigna.
I am not currently able to accept EAP, TriCare, Medicaid/OHP, FamilyCare, or CareOregon.
Legal Disclaimer
I strictly adhere to all legal, ethical, and HIPAA requirements; details provided in Intake Paperwork Packet. I am not a medical doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist. I cannot prescribe medication or give medical/medication advice. While our session content remains confidential, I am a mandated reporter required by law to report to appropriate authorities any present, past, or suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of any child aged 17 or under; any disabled person; any person aged 71 or older. I am also required to report threat of imminent danger related to active suicidal or homicidal threat. In any and all of the above situations, I will do my professional best to inform you when these requirements have been triggered in session, so that you are fully aware and participatory in seeking help and safety for all involved.
I cannot provide after-hours crisis support, or any form of counseling or advice outside of scheduled sessions (phone, text, email, etc) except where pre-arranged as primary mode of treatment with clients not receiving services through their health insurance. Cancellation Policy
24 hours’ notice is required for all cancellations. Failure to provide adequate notice of cancellation (including no-shows) will result in a $50 skip fee, billed/owed immediately.
Sessions, Rates and Billing
Copay determined by insurance and/or therapist is due at beginning of session. Session length is 45 minutes unless otherwise determined. Late arrivals will still need to end on time.
If account is overdue more than one session, further sessions will be postponed until bill is caught up. Advance payment is accepted. Sliding fee scale not available for insurance-based clients.
Self-pay rate is $150 for first session; $100 for each additional. Sliding fee scale available in some self-pay cases, at full discretion of therapist.
Self-pay bulk discount: Purchase sessions in bulk to receive a percentage discount. 3 sessions = 10%, 6 sessions = 20%, 10 sessions = 25%. There is no cancellation allowed for bulk-discount clients. Any sessions missed/not used will not be rescheduled or reimbursed ($50 skip fee will not be charged).
